Entrepreneur's experience
I've founded companies in four countries, been a shareholder in startups, and led acquisitions both as buyer and seller. I understand what it feels like to be on the other side of the table.
International perspective
Over a decade in Asia. Chair of an EUROCHAM committee. Practical knowledge of company structures in Malaysia (both Labuan and mainland), Hong Kong, and the United States. For growth companies thinking about international expansion, I bring the contacts and the experience — the same background is also available as separate Malaysia advisory.
Marketing and technology background
Marketing education, agency background, founded and sold a software company, advisor to several startups. My first software company focused on automation and process efficiency — clients included Sanoma and Dagens Nyheter. A useful combination for companies whose growth depends on customer acquisition or technology — and FEDS Consulting also has technology resources available when needed.
Independent perspective
I live in Penang, I'm not part of any Finnish inner circle. You get a perspective in the boardroom that hasn't been filtered through the same boardroom networks.
I know how to evaluate service providers
On the MFBC board, I helped drive the change of both the Company Secretary and the auditor — for quality reasons. As a board member, I know how to ask the right questions of service providers.
I've sat on the boards of several limited companies. Active positions wound down through exits I helped lead. That's why I can now take on a couple of new positions.
